Larry Page

Larry Page, born on March 26, 1973, in East Lansing, Michigan, is an influential American computer scientist and entrepreneur best known for co-founding Google. Page ranks among the world's wealthiest individuals, thanks to his pioneering work in internet technology and his continued contributions to innovation.

Page's journey into technology began at an early age, influenced by his parents, both computer science professors. He attended the University of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. He then pursued a Ph.D. in computer science at Stanford University, where he met Sergey Brin. Together, they developed a new search engine algorithm called PageRank, which became the foundation of Google.

In 1998, Page and Brin officially launched Google Inc., revolutionizing the way people search for information online. Under Page's leadership, Google rapidly grew from a modest startup into a global tech giant, expanding its services beyond search to include email (Gmail), maps (Google Maps), and mobile operating systems (Android). The company's innovative approach and user-centric philosophy set new standards in the tech industry.

Page served as Google's CEO until 2001, then again from 2011 to 2015, before transitioning to CEO of Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, which was created in 2015. This restructuring allowed Google to diversify its interests into various sectors, including life sciences, autonomous vehicles (Waymo), and smart home technology (Nest).

Beyond his role at Google and Alphabet, Page is known for his interest in futuristic technologies and philanthropy. He has invested in various projects, including flying cars and renewable energy initiatives, through his private investment firm, Page Group. Page is also a founding donor of the Carl Victor Page Memorial Foundation, which focuses on education and environmental sustainability.

Page's visionary leadership and innovative thinking have significantly impacted the technology landscape. His contributions to search technology, artificial intelligence, and various cutting-edge fields underscore his status as a key figure in modern technology and business.
