Brian Chesky is a prominent American entrepreneur and billionaire, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, the pioneering platform that transformed the travel and hospitality industry. Born on August 29, 1981, in Niskayuna, New York, Chesky demonstrated a keen interest in art and design from a young age. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2004 with a degree in industrial design, which later played a crucial role in shaping Airbnb's user-centric approach.

Chesky's journey to entrepreneurship began in 2007 when he and his roommate, Joe Gebbia, were struggling to pay rent in San Francisco. They decided to rent out air mattresses in their apartment to attendees of a design conference, effectively creating the first iteration of Airbnb, initially called "Air Bed & Breakfast." Along with Nathan Blecharczyk, they officially launched Airbnb in 2008.
