Andrew Cherng is a prominent American billionaire and entrepreneur, best known as the co-founder and co-CEO of Panda Restaurant Group, which owns the popular Panda Express chain. Cherng moved to the United States in 1966 to attend Baker University in Kansas, where he earned a degree in mathematics. In 1973, Cherng and his father, Master Chef Ming-Tsai Cherng, opened Panda Inn in Pasadena, California. The restaurant’s success laid the foundation for what would become a culinary empire.

Under Andrew Cherng's leadership, Panda Express has grown to over 2,200 locations worldwide, becoming the largest Asian segment restaurant chain in the United States.
