Andrej Babis, a prominent Czech billionaire and politician, has made significant strides in both business and public service. Born on September 2, 1954, in Bratislava (formerly part of Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia), Babis studied at the University of Economics in Prague, earning a degree in international trade and economics.

Babis' career began in the 1980s when he worked for Petrimex, a state-owned foreign trade company. In 1993, after the Velvet Revolution and the subsequent dissolution of Czechoslovakia, he founded Agrofert, a conglomerate that initially focused on agriculture and food production.
